The No 2008 lever was designed in 1917 for the Locust Valley residence of architect Harrie Lindeberg. The organic swelling of the handle, highlighted by a delicate rib, that ends in a volute suggests the influence of Gothic forms as well as the American Arts and Crafts movement. The stepped barrel-shaped shank, however, is decidedly modern. Recommended finishes include dark oxidized bronze, dark antique brass, pewter and a wide range of other plated and patinated finishes. The handle can be used with traditional full-mortise locksets or manufactured for use with multi-point doors and tilt & turn windows. The lever measures 4-5/8″ long with a projection of 2-1/8”.
