Umbered Gold looks more aged and reddish pink than Polished Gold. To achieve Umbered Gold, Brass is polished, burnished, plated in three layers of gold (hard gold and finished 24 ct gold) and is then umbered – meaning our finishers apply oil paint. It is darker where untouched and brighter where touched. Umbered gold is a finish dating back to 17th century France.
